Day 1 UK - Bordeaux

Fly into Bordeaux and launch straight into a gourmet experience when we escort you to the ship in the early evening. You'll meet the captain and crew at a welcome cocktail reception and enjoy a delicious dinner on board. Your journey begins on the scenic Garonne River as we start cruising to Pauillac, which is home to some of the world's most famous wines. Watch out for the picturesque islands of Cazeau and Patiras along the way. ​

Day 2 Pauillac - The Médoc - Royan

Step back in time at the charming town of Pauillac. In the morning, the Explorer Package excursion takes you through the celebrated Médoc wine route, including Saint Julien and Haut-Médoc, to taste superb regional wines.

​Alternatively, the Discovery Package takes you cycling off the beaten path to castles and vineyards, and includes a sample of Grand Cru Classé with an assortment of cheeses. Later, we all meet again to take a panoramic tour of Royan, before an evening of dinner and dancing onboard.

Day 3 Royan - Rochefort - La Rochelle - Royan

Travel by coach to Rochefort to discover exquisite mansions and the historical Corderie Royale, a rope-making factory that was the first industrial building in France. Learn the techniques used to make ropes for the French Navy, before heading to La Rochelle with a stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

​La Rochelle spans a history of 1,000 years as the capital of the Charente Maritime. On a guided tour you'll learn about the Grosse-Horologe gate and the stunning architectural heritage of the area. Enjoy free time to explore before our return cruise to Royan – there's dinner and entertainment onboard.

Day 4 Royan - Saintes – Meschers - Sur-Gironde - Libourne

Almost 2,000 years of history greets you in Saintes, with its ancient Roman theatre that once showcased gladiator and wild animal battles. It's just one of many highlights you'll discover on this excursion, along with the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saint-Eutrope Basilica and its incredible crypt.

​In the afternoon, we'll cruise to one of the country's most beautiful seaside villages, Talmont-sur-Gironde. Explore cobbled streets lined with charming boutiques, a quaint port and the Romanesque Church of Saint-Radegonde. Before cruising up the Dordogne to Libourne, we'll tour the treasure-filled cave dwellings of Meschers-sur-Gironde.

Day 5 Libourne - Bordeaux

The medieval city of Libourne is home to the Monolithic Church of Saint-Emilion, where you'll discover fascinating underground monuments and rich history on a guided tour. Afterwards, a vineyard visit will enlighten you as to how the region's famous local wine is produced, followed by a tasting of the stunning results.

​Spend the afternoon relaxing on the ship as we cruise to Bordeaux. In the evening, discover magical monuments beneath the sparkling city lights. A tour takes you to intimate side streets around Place Saint Pierre, the Place des Quinconces and the impressive Grand Théâtre.

Day 6 Bordeaux - Cadillac

Sit back and admire views of Bordeaux from the water as we cruise along the Garonne to Cadillac. On the Explorer Package we'll visit the prestigious Château de Roquetaillade, a popular backdrop for famous French films. Then, it's time for a wine cellar stop in the Sauternais for a taste of sweet Sauternes wine. Or book the Discovery Package for a gourmet walk through woods and vineyards, with a tantalising wine-tasting session included.

​On our return to Cadillac, choose a guided tour of the city to explore ramparts, the port and the atmospheric main square. As we cruise to Bordeaux in the afternoon, you'll also have a chance to enjoy our gala evening.

Day 7 Bordeaux

Choose how you'd like to discover more of Bordeaux, whether it's at your own pace or on guided tours. The Explorer Package includes a tour of the UNESCO-listed historical area, the Place des Quinconces and the Grand Théâtre.

Visit La Cité du Vin on the Discovery Package for a sensorial experience of the culture and traditions of wine, with a complimentary glass in the company of 360-degree views of Bordeaux.

Lunch is served on board today before you enjoy an afternoon of free time in the city. Join us back on the ship for dinner and evening entertainment. ​

Day 8 Bordeaux - UK

You'll enjoy breakfast on the ship this morning, before finally disembarking. We'll see you safely to the airport for your return flight to the UK. ​
