Planeterra worked with the New Hope Centre to build a fully operational training restaurant. Since then, thousands of travellers have visited the restaurant each year, and many of its trainees have gone on to build careers across the hospitality industry.
Traveller meals help to fund the education of over 1,000 students and provide free medical checkups a year through New Hope's Outreach programme, reaching some of the poorest communities around Siem Reap. The training programme runs for six months, and New Hope's local partners help place graduates in full time roles across the hotels, resorts and restaurants of the growing Siem Reap region.
You will visit the New Hope restaurant on the Secrets of the Mekong tour, and support the young people building their futures there.
