To celebrate 60 years of James Bond we are going to take a look at the top ‘007’ destinations you could visit so you can follow in the footsteps of everyone’s favourite fictional Secret Service Agent.
A staple of every Bond film is a high adrenaline chase sequence, and in Daniel Craig’s last Bond film, No Time To Die, we are treated to a chase through the historic streets of Matera. This UNESCO-listed town has become famous for its Sassi stone houses that are thought to house some of the earliest settlements in Italy. These unique cave dwellings and the historic town can be visited on a guided holiday to southern Italy.
The magnificent monolith of Sugarloaf Mountain dominates the skyline of Rio de Janeiro. The world renowned peak was featured in Roger Moore’s 1979 film, Moonraker and it is a must see sight on a tour to Brazil. The mountain offers sweeping views of Guanabara Bay and the city of Rio de Janeiro, so you should consider allowing some time to visit either as part of a group or at leisure.
