You’ll depart on your scheduled flight to Chicago today, arriving late afternoon. You’ll stay here for two nights.
Join your Tour Manager this morning on our included half-day tour of Chicago, a city with stunning architecture, endless shopping opportunities, many world-class museums and nearly 30 miles of shoreline along beautiful Lake Michigan.

This evening you are invited to a Champagne welcome reception at 360 Chicago (formerly the John Hancock Observatory) where you’ll witness the best views of the city from 1,000ft up. This will be followed by a night of authentic live Chicago blues.
You’ll leave Chicago today and drive to Milwaukee in the state of Wisconsin, where an overnight stay has been arranged. The city is home to the famous Miller Brewing Company and on arrival we’ve arranged a brewery tour where you’ll see how the beer is brewed and walk through the historic caves, a restored portion of the original brewery which started operating in 1855. At the end of your tour you’ll get the opportunity to sample a beer, or a soft drink if you prefer, at the Bavarian-style Miller Inn.

This afternoon is free for you to spend at leisure. Motorbike fans are sure to be tempted to join our optional excursion to the Harley-Davidson Museum.
Nestled between the waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan is Sturgeon Bay, which is our destination today as we leave Milwaukee behind and head to Door County. Weather permitting, we include a wonderful cruise aboard a historic former firefighting vessel through the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal or to Sherwood Point Lighthouse. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure. You’ll stay in Sturgeon Bay for two nights.
Today we explore Door County on a full day included excursion. Stop throughout the day at picturesque little towns such as Jacksonport, Bailly’s Harbor and Egg Harbor.

We continue on to Fish Creek where we include a special fish boil dinner where you will dine on whitefish caught in Lake Michigan by local fishermen. A bonfire is lit and the fish steaks, along with potatoes and onions, are cooked on the open fire just as the Scandinavian settlers would have done hundreds of years ago. Finish your meal with a slice of famous Door County cherry pie.
Your tour continues today with a journey by road into Michigan, and Marquette, a major port on Lake Superior. The world’s largest freshwater lake, your hotel for this evening is close to Superior’s shores and your room will boast wonderful lake views.

There’s free time to explore Marquette – its beaches are among the lake’s most beautiful and downtown you’ll find a treasure trove of clothing and gift shops, galleries, museums and a collection of fine restaurants serving everything from fresh fish to pizza.
Mackinaw City is a resort located on the shores of the Straits of Mackinac, at the tip of the Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. On arrival, check into your hotel for an overnight stay then join our included ferry trip to Mackinac Island, on Lake Huron. Time has seemingly stood still in this living Victorian community where motorised vehicles are banned and locals travel by horse and carriage. Hop in a carriage yourself and take a scenic tour – and be sure to visit one of the fudge shops to purchase some of the island’s famous speciality.
Your next destination is the largest city in Michigan, Detroit, and you will stay here for two nights. Famous as the home of Motown, we’ll make a stop at Hitsville USA – the home of the Motown Museum, which tells the story of one of the largest, most successful record companies of all time and how the music captured the hearts of young people across the world.
The Ford Rouge Factory - The Ford Rouge Factory experience is comprised of a five-part tour which includes the Legacy Theatre - a look inside the amazing history of this world renowned manufacturing facility, the Manufacturing Innovation theatre - a fully immersive journey with amazing special effects that puts you in the vehicle design, build, test and drive experience; a bird’s eye view of the living roof and other sustainable features and a 1/3 mile walking tour above the actual final assembly area where Ford F-150s are made.

Greenfield Village - Entering Greenfield Village is like stepping into an 80-acre time machine. It takes you back to the sights, sounds and sensations of America’s past. There are 83 authentic, historic structures, from Noah Webster’s home, where he wrote the first American dictionary, to Thomas Edison’s Menlo Park laboratory, to the courthouse where Abraham Lincoln practiced law. The buildings and the things to see are only the beginning. There’s the fun stuff, too. In Greenfield Village, you can ride in a genuine Model T or “pull” glass with world-class artisans; you can watch 1867 baseball or ride a train with a 19th-century steam engine. It’s a place where you can choose your lunch from an 1850s menu or spend a quiet moment pondering the home and workshop where the Wright brothers invented the airplane. Greenfield Village is a celebration of people — people whose unbridled optimism came to define modern-day America..
Today you’ll travel from Detroit to Niagara, where there will be the opportunity to take an optional thrilling cruise at Niagara Falls.

This evening we include a once-in-a-lifetime experience - a Falls Fireworks Cruise, which is spectacularly lit in a kaleidoscope of colour. You’ll also enjoy a complimentary drink.
Today we journey to Niagara on the Lake, which is nicknamed the Loveliest Town in Canada, and is located in Southern Ontario where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario. There will be a stop at the lakeside Konzelmann Estate Winery, where you’ll enjoy a cheese and wine reception and a guided tour. Later, we continue to Canada’s largest city, Toronto, where we’ve included an orientation tour and a two-night stay.
Today is free day for you to explore Toronto at leisure. This beautiful, vibrant city boasts superb shopping, fine restaurants and the 1,815ft high CN Tower which dominates its skyline.
Your holiday comes to an end today as you transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
Arrive in the UK.

Please note: To maximise your enjoyment of this holiday a certain amount of walking is essential.
