Your Itinerary

HIDE FULL ITINERARY

Day 1 UK/Cannes

Depart on your journey to Cannes today. If you've chosen our flight option you'll fly to Nice and transfer to Cannes by coach. If you are travelling by rail you will take the Eurostar from St Pancras to Lille or Paris in the company of your Tour Manager. On arrival you will connect with the TGV service to Cannes. Your hotel is located just a short walk from La Croisette, the palm tree-lined boulevard which runs along the seafront.

Day 2 Cannes & Nice

Cannes is known for its long sandy beaches, designer boutiques, glamorous yachts and the renowned annual film festival. Today's included excursion will introduce you to Cannes' highlights before continuing to the chic city of Nice, where we'll drive up Mont Boron for fantastic sweeping views. We also spend some time at the Cimiez district. Queen Victoria was once a regular at the Regina Palace Hotel here, and her statue still stands at the entrance to the district. Other attractions include an ancient Roman theatre.

Day 3 St-Paul-de-Vence & Antibes

Spend today at leisure, or join your Tour Manager on a full-day optional excursion to St-Paul-de-Vence, a charming hilltop fortified village, and Antibes, perhaps the most exclusive resort on the Côte d'Azur.

Day 4 Monaco & Monte Carlo

Join our included excursion to the tiny sovereign state of Monaco today. Ruled by the Grimaldi family for more than seven centuries, it boasts luxurious hotels, exclusive restaurants and the highest number of millionaires per square metre than any other country in the world!
You'll also discover the district of Monte Carlo, which is the sophisticated playground of the rich and famous. It's renowned for its famous casino, exquisite gardens, opulent boutiques and a grand harbour filled with expensive yachts.

Day 5 Cannes

Today has been left free for you to spend how you wish. You might want to laze on the beach, browse the designer boutiques or take a ferry to the Iles de Lerins. These two tiny traffic-free islands in the bay are crisscrossed by a network of well-marked walking trails, where you can discover hidden coves, tidal pools and unspoilt beaches. On Île Ste-Marguerite you could discover the 17th century Fort Royal, which served as a holding cell for prisoners including the mysterious 'Man in the Iron Mask'. And if you decide to head to Île St-Honorat you'll see a Cistercian abbey whose 20 or so monks tend the island's vineyards and also cultivate lavender and honey. There's no ferry between the two, so you'll have to return to the mainland in order to visit both.
If you like to snorkel, you'll find the waters around the islands are teeming with life, including many protected species.
Alternatively, you could join your Tour Manager for an e-bike tour of the vineyards, with a tasting of local wines included. Thanks to electrical assistance, you won't have to pedal too hard, with the bike doing most of the work for you!

Day 6 San Remo

If you'd like to venture further afield, join today's optional excursion which will take you over the Italian border to San Remo. Known as the Town of Flowers, the resort boasts exquisite gardens and parks. You'll also visit the old town of La Pigna and Hanbury Gardens.

Day 7 St Raphael & St Tropez

Today we include a tour of the delightful resorts of St Raphael and St Tropez. Discover St Raphael's old quarter and take a stroll along its lovely promenade. Then in St Tropez, one of the most beautiful resorts in the south of France, maybe enjoy an ice cream as you admire the chic marina, or head to its atmospheric Old Town.

Day 8 Cannes/UK

Today you'll transfer to the airport or train station for your journey back to the UK.

Italy - San Remo and Hanbury Gardens

FROM £78

Join us on our optional excursion as we venture over the Italian border to the charming market at San Remo, the capital of the Italian Riviera. Known as the Town of Flowers, the resort boasts exquisite gardens and parks. This international resort is located on a wide, sheltered bay and the delightful old town, La Pigna, is characterised by perched houses and small squares. Our tour also includes a visit to the beautiful Hanbury Gardens, created by Londoner Sir Thomas Hanbury in the 19th century. This botanical paradise features plants from tropical and subtropical regions all over the world.

These unique gardens dating from the 1860s are well worth visiting and the meandering, sloping paths mean people can undertake as little or as much as they like. There is something to see at every point in this very special garden.

Full day – Moderate/Strenuous walking – Floral delights

France - E Bike Vineyard tour with wine tasting

FROM £83

Of the 4 million tourists that come to Nice every year, few know that Nice has its own vineyards that produce high-quality AOC stamped wine. Let us take you off the tourist trail and help you to discover Nice’s best kept secret on this bike tour to our favourite Bellet vineyard. Note that this is an authentic “dirt-under-the-fingernails” working vineyard that was not made for commercial tourism!

You will meet the passionate winemaker, who walks you through his lovingly cared for vines. He’ll then explain the organic wine making process, and what makes Bellet wine so special. Sample his wines and finish up with a picnic lunch in an idyllic setting under an olive tree.

Thanks to our eBikes that are as easy to ride as a normal bicycle but give you assistance up the hills, the tour is suitable for active adults and children 12 years or above. The tour lasts 5-6 hours with most of the route on quiet roads with little traffic.

Transfer: Your Tour Manager will accompany you by train to Nice with a 15 minute walk to the start of your tour.
