Depart on your scheduled flight to Dubrovnik today. On arrival, you will transfer to the harbour where you will board MS Dionis, your home for the next seven nights. Take lunch on board before before today’s included visit to beautiful Dubrovnik, which is a delight to explore on foot. We’ll stroll through its maze of narrow streets to the old town and admire the views out to sea from the ancient ramparts. Take a wander along the famous Stradun (promenade) to the former Rector’s Palace, which is now a museum, and the Franciscan Monastery, which houses the oldest pharmacy in Europe.

Gather together with fellow passengers tonight for an included welcome ‘Dionis cocktail’ before dinner is served on board. Your ship docks overnight in Dubrovnik.
After breakfast your cruise begins as your ship sails to the island of Mljet. Almost three-quarters of the island is covered with the dense forest that once typified the Mediterranean coast – admire this lovely scenery while you enjoy lunch on board. Early this afternoon your ship arrives at the northern end of the island, where Mljet National Park is located. Go ashore and spend the afternoon walking around the two saltwater lakes here which are surrounded by lush forest. You’ll also have the opportunity to rent a bicycle to see more of the island, hire a boat and explore the caves and rock formations that surround the shores of the lakes or admire the Benedictine monastery of St Mary. Your ship will moor overnight in Polaca or Pomena, where you’ll find a great selection of seafront restaurants many of them selling freshly caught grilled fish.
Today your ship arrives in one of Croatia’s most fashionable resorts, Hvar. Make sure you are on deck as the ship approaches the island - the views from the sea are stunning. You’ll step ashore in the main town, also called Hvar, where a guided tour will show you the key sights, including the striking Renaissance cathedral. You will also have free time to explore and a chance to select a local restaurant for lunch.

Later we head to Milna, on the Island of Brac, where the ship moors tonight. On board there’s an included tasting of Croatian wines before dinner. Vineyards were introduced to the Croatian coast in the 5th century BC by Greek settlers, and the country now produces some 700 varieties.
After breakfast we set sail for Split. Croatia’s second city is home to the wonderful Roman Palace of Diocletian, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll see this on our included tour in the company of a Local Guide. You’ll also have free time to enjoy a stroll through the narrow streets and stop for a drink in one of the many cafes that line the harbour. Back on board your ship, there’s a real taste of Croatia during an included ‘Croatian heritage evening’, with traditional live music and cuisine.
The island of Korcula, reputed to be the birthplace of famous adventurer Marco Polo, is today’s port of call. For a small country Croatia produces a huge amount of olives, and the families of your captain and crew grow them in their home village. On our way to the island we include an onboard tasting of their home grown olive oil while they explain all about the process. You’ll arrive in the walled town of Korcula after lunch, where a guided tour will show you the key sights. You’ll stroll Korcula’s maze of narrow streets, which are watched over by the splendid St Mark’s Cathedral, before enjoying some free time. Perhaps you’ll choose to find a café-bar where you can sample a glass of the locally-produced wine. Sun-lovers may choose to find a spot on one of the island’s lovely beaches and take a dip in the crystal-clear waters. This evening, step ashore and head to one of Korcula’s many restaurants for dinner. Alternatively, join our optional dinner excursion to a family-run taverna, where local specialities include lamb, rabbit and seafood.
Early this morning your journey continues as you sail towards the Elaphiti islands, west of Dubrovnik. Incredibly popular with tourists, just three of the islands are inhabited – Kolocep, Lopud and Šipan, which is the largest of the islands and where your ship docks overnight. During the day, enjoy a visit to one of the smaller islands where you can relax in the sunshine on deck or swim in the clear, calm waters before lunch is served. A special ‘Captain’s dinner’ is served on board your ship this evening.
After breakfast today enjoy free time to explore Dubrovnik further at your own pace. Alternatively, you may choose to join our full-day optional excursion by road to the neighbouring country of Montenegro. With a stunning coastline studded by beautiful towns, Montenegro is a real gem. During the day you will visit the picturesque town of Kotor, on wonderful Kotor Bay, and also the attractive beaches of the Budva Riviera, one of the most beautiful areas of the Adriatic coast and home to the walled old town of Budva. Indulge in a spot of shopping, or take a seat in a café-bar in the marina and sample the excellent fresh seafood and a glass or two of local wine.
After breakfast you will disembark MS Dionis and transfer to Dubrovnik airport for your flight back to the UK.

Please note: To maximise your enjoyment of this holiday a certain amount of walking is essential.

Due to the popularity of these cruises, in some ports you will be required to cross other vessels in order to access the ship. Passengers will also need to ascend and descend steps when moving between decks.

Experience even more of your destination by adding one or more optional excursions to your holiday before you set off. Right now is the perfect opportunity to do that – with everything booked and paid for you’ll have even more to get excited about and all you’ll need to think about while you’re away is having a great time.

By the way - look out for ‘Optional Excursion Packages’. For some holidays we’ve grouped a selection of excursions into a package which means you can make a saving when you book in advance.

Prices shown may vary according to departure date and are subject to change.  The full range of excursions will be detailed in your holiday information pack, sent approximately 15 weeks prior to departure.
