Join our optional excursion, beginning with a journey through the Brixen Valley to Kitzbühel. From here, your tour continues to the Austrian resort of Zell am See.

Today’s tour includes more wonderful scenery as well as a nostalgic steam journey aboard the narrow-guage Zillertalbahn Railway. Travel through the Ziller Valley to Mayrhofen.

Join our optional trip to Rattenberg, a delightful town renowned for its glass-blowing, and Achensee, where you will take a trip on the oldest steam-powered cog railway in Europe, the Achenseebahn.

Join an included excursion to Igls before moving on to the Tyrol’s capital Innsbruck, located in the Inn Valley against the backdrop of the Alps.

Leaving Austria, you’ll transfer to the Swiss resort of Davos. En route you’ll stop in the stylish resort of St Anton.

Today you’ll board the historic Bernina Express for an included journey on the Bernina Line.

From Davos, the train travels through St Moritz and on to Tirano in Italy. The route passes through 55 tunnels and crosses 196 bridges as well as the famous circular viaduct of Brusio. It also climbs the 2253-metre Bernina Pass.

Discover the mountain landscapes of Graubünden on this circular tour. From Davos, the train runs through the wild Zügenschlucht gorge to Filisur. After emerging from the Albula Tunnel the train reaches St Moritz, where there’s time to explore. Next it passes through the valley of the river Inn to Zernez. The train takes 20 minutes to pass through the Vereina Tunnel en route to Klosters, from where you’ll return to Davos.

Today’s excursion features the Arosa Railway Line from Chur to Arosa. From your seat you’ll see the Maltese tower and the Obertor gate before the train begins its climb into the mountains and across the Langwieser Viaduct. Enjoy a stroll around the spa resort of Arosa before taking the train to Chur.

Today you’ll transfer to Zurich for your flight to the UK.

Special note: We cannot always guarantee that rail excursions will be steam-hauled.
