Our Destination Specialists have a world of knowledge

Every Travelsphere holiday has been carefully crafted by our team of Destination Specialists. They know all there is to know about each country we visit, from the culture and the people to the must-see landmarks and attractions. They will try out a tour before it ever makes it into the pages of our brochures, and test out hotels, excursions and services to make sure they exceed the expectations of our customers. All year round they’re on the hunt for new exciting destinations, and when it comes to the price of your holiday, they work really hard to get the best deals to provide our customers with the best value for money.

I always wanted to travel - I bought a round-the-world flight ticket in my 20s and I never looked back! I loved the journey, finding my way from one amazing place to another, as much as the destinations themselves. Since then I have always worked in travel and have been lucky enough to visit some incredible places and share them with other people through my job. I find big cities fascinating and for me there is no better example than New York City. It’s thriving and so full of life, with endless places to eat and drink and sights to see. I’m lucky that the areas I look after for Travelsphere are so diverse - at the moment Cuba tops the list for me for its combination of scenery, music, cocktails, and of course, beautiful Caribbean beaches.

Latin America specialist

Having grown up in South America and worked in the travel industry for over 20 years, travel is in my blood! I have spent my career working with, and travelling to, far-flung destinations such as India, Jordan, Peru, the Caribbean, the Far East and Latin America, where I love to put my Portuguese and Spanish to good use. I am responsible for Travelsphere’s product portfolio but have planned and organised our South America tours personally. So where would I recommend? Not an easy one to answer when it’s the very diversity that travel has to offer that appeals so much. However, Brazil has to be closest to my heart as I spent my childhood in this wonderful country.

With over 15 years in the travel industry and a passion for travel which goes back much further, I count myself lucky to be able to work with such amazing destinations. I love New Zealand for its dramatic scenery, little wonder why it was chosen for the mythical land of ‘Middle-earth’. With such a rich and diverse Maori culture, spectacular fjords, and excellent food and wine, New Zealand will never disappoint. My favourite destination though has to be China, such a fascinating country, with a wealth of extraordinary sights and experiences; from the iconic Great Wall and the Terracotta Army, to the majestic scenery of the Yangtze, limestone karsts, rice terraces and traditional villages. The atmosphere is enchanting, like no other place on Earth.
