Russia, the Solar Eclipse and an Elvis Anniversary among the 52 new Travelsphere Holidays
An eight day tour of Tolstoy’s Moscow and St Petersburg, a South Africa exploration and hopping around the Canary Islands headline the 52 new holidays that have been launched by Travelsphere for the 2016 and 2017 season.
Leading the way in pioneering escorted tours, Travelsphere now takes its intrepid travellers to 87 countries around the globe on over 140 unique holidays from Italy to Iceland and India to Colombia.
Travelsphere’s Moscow & St Petersburg – Tolstoy’s War & Peace is an intriguing tour taking in the filming locations that were used in the BBC’s TV adaptation of Tolstoy’s novel.
Departing on 22nd September and priced at £1,499 per person, Travelsphere’s tour begins in Moscow with visits to The Kremlin, Tolstoy’s Museum along with the Faberge Museum and Catherine Palace in St Petersburg.
“At Travelsphere we are always looking to add ground-breaking holidays and some very special departure dates, which for 2017 includes the solar eclipse in the USA, Elvis’ 40th Anniversary Memorial in Memphis and whale watching in South Africa. We have been taking people on holiday for over 50 years so we know exactly what our customers are looking for,” said Christina Hunter-Locke, Travelsphere’s Head of Product.
“New for 2017, Travelsphere explores Colombia, a country of vibrant cities and colonial towns, where you’ll see snow-capped mountains and lush coffee plantations, before relaxing on the beautiful shores of the Caribbean. There’s a chance to stay in one of India’s finest heritage hotels as we tour the imposing forts and magnificent temples of Rajasthan, or how about discovering the dynamic city of Shanghai and lively Hong Kong with visits to some of China’s enchanting waterside towns and villages along the way,” added Christina.
Travelsphere’s Southern Africa Explorer – Delta to the Falls is an adventure through Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe, with an optional add-on of three nights in Cape Town. The holiday begins in Botswana, one of the best safari destinations in Africa with more elephants than any other country.
The tour then moves along the Okavango Delta to Shakawe, staying at Lawdon’s Lodge alongside the Okavango River, a great place to spot wildlife. Other highlights include the Mahango National Park, sleeping in ‘island tents’ on the banks of the Kwando River, the Victoria Falls and a sunset cruise along the Zambezi. The 12 day holiday starts from £3,499 with departures between September 2016 and March 2017.
Closer to home, Travelsphere has a ten day Canary Island Hopping holiday, taking in the islands of Tenerife, Gran Canaria and La Gomera and exploring the Mount Teide, the Teide National Park and the Bandama Crater.
Italy continues to be one of Travelsphere’s most popular destinations with over 20 unique holidays including the Verona Opera Experience, the Aeolian Islands’ Magical Cruise and the Gardens & Tastes of Lake Garda, a six day discovery of the beauty and produce that hails from the hills around one of Italy’s most famous lakes.
Travelsphere holidays include scheduled flights, all overseas transfers, accommodation, 24-hour helpline available seven days a week and the services of a Travelsphere Tour Manager or local guide.
