Travelsphere, the UK’s pioneering escorted tours company, has planned an incredible adventure to the mountain nation of Bhutan, a kingdom long hidden from the world.

Bhutan offers impressive views of the Himalayas and sacred shrines as well as the chance to explore Buddhist monasteries and impressive fortresses, it is the perfect holiday for anyone who thinks they have seen it all.

The 13-day Thunder Kingdom of Bhutan tour is one of Travelsphere’s new holidays featured in its India and Beyond Collection, with departures in February and April 2017 and prices starting from £2,999 per person.

Highlights of the Bhutan adventure include a walk to the famous Taksang Monastery and an evening cultural show of Bhutanese dance, there is also the opportunity to visit Kathmandu in neighbouring Nepal and enjoy a rickshaw ride in Thamel.

“Travelsphere’s new tour to Bhutan allows you to get close to some of the most incredible architecture such as the Taktsang Monastery, the Nyatapola Pagoda and the Ta Dzong watchtower,” said Christina Hunter-Locke, Travelsphere’s Head of Product.

Royal Rajasthan is Travelsphere’s 14-day journey through India’s Golden Triangle and the princely state of Rajasthan, where hilltop forts, lakeside palaces, exquisite temples and colourful towns are set against startling desert scenery.

The Taj Mahal, Agra and Amber Fort along with a cruise on Lake Pichola are highlights of the Royal Rajasthan holiday, which forms part of Travelsphere’s five unique holidays in India.

“India continues to be one of Travelsphere’s most popular destinations, which is hardly surprising given its rich history, vibrant colour and intoxicating charm. For our new season we have added some fantastic new tours including an exploration of Rajasthan and Kerala.

“Travelsphere’s Taj Mahal, Delhi and Amber Fort tour is perfect for the first-time visitor to India and is one of the highest rated tours by our customers,” added Christina.

For those keen on seeing a wide range of wildlife, Travelsphere’s Beyond the Golden Triangle holiday spends a day at the Ranthambore National Park, home to crocodiles, hyenas, leopards and the elusive tiger.

If you want to see more of India, the Grand Tour of India is an all-encompassing holiday introducing this country’s most impressive sights, Old and New Delhi, the Taj Mahal, the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur and Agra Fort, before heading into ‘tiger country’ at Ranthambore. The adventure continues as the tour heads south to tranquil Kerala and the cities of Cochin, Trivandrum and the wonderful beaches of Kovalam.

Travelsphere also offers the opportunity to explore the island country of Sri Lanka with the Colonial Highlights of Ceylon.

If the Himalayas are a must-see then Travelsphere has its Nepal – The Rooftop of the World holiday, where customers get close to the highest mountain in the world, discover huge Buddhist stupas, learn to cook Nepali cuisine and search for the royal Bengal tiger at the Chitwan National Park.

The Travelsphere Cares initiative is Travelsphere’s way of giving something back to the communities who are so welcoming. The Grand Tour of India holiday supports the Salaam Baalak Trust, which works with street children in Delhi, the Colonial Highlights of Ceylon tour supports a local school, and Travelsphere is donating all profits from 2016 departures on its Nepal tour to the Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund.
