I loved travelling from an early age. My mother instilled this passion in me, which is now my profession. Speaking several languages and calling four countries my home enables me to share all this experience with our guests. I love all destinations, but my heart belongs to the Italian Lakes, which are surrounded by snow-capped mountains and the brightness of the Sicilian skies.

My Italian heritage means I am able to introduce all of Italy to our guests, sharing with them the rich history and traditions of one of the most fascinating countries in the world.

USA & the Far East specialist

I have been a Tour Manager for Travelsphere for four years after previously working in the financial sector in London.

My favourite destinations are all those places I have yet to visit, although there are a few places that warm the heart when I return, including China, the USA, India, and all of Europe.

There are so many aspects of my work that I really enjoy, but the most rewarding part is the enjoyment of my customers when they visit world-famous sites and landmarks. Seeing the look of wonder and amazement on a customer’s face when they first view the great pyramids or the Taj Mahal is priceless.

After leaving school I trained to be a hairdresser. However, after a holiday in the Canaries in the early 1980s, I started working as a holiday rep for some of the major tour operators. I wanted to work in long haul and became an area manager in the Indian Ocean for a well-known UK tour operator in 1996. I spent nine years working in Asia, where I had so many interesting experiences.

At the end of 2005, I decided to return to my Welsh roots and started working as a Tour Manager with Travelsphere and have never looked back!

I absolutely love working as a Tour Manager, it’s the perfect job for me, as I love meeting people, love travelling and believe in providing excellent customer care.

My years in the hospitality industry and hotel management have given me a great insight into what goes into making people’s travel experiences extra special. I enjoy showing off the sights and the differences in cultures of the countries I guide in. I love seeing people’s reactions to a unique, amazing sight, it reminds me of the first time I saw them and the wonder I felt.

I believe that when you put your trust and hard-earned money into choosing our company to look after your holiday we must ensure that in return for this confidence we give our utmost service and attention. A sense of humour together with experience, precise research, hard work and attention to detail are, to me, a winning combination for any Tour Manager.

I look forward to meeting you all and helping you to have an excellent holiday.

If you already know me, I hope to meet you again soon, and if not, you are most welcome to join one of my tours!

When I was younger I backpacked, studied and worked all over the world so I gained experience in dealing with all sorts of spontaneous situations. After my BA hons language degree in London I worked at the Millennium Dome helping to set up the school visits there.

The great thing about my job is I get to know many lovely people from all walks of life, and I do my best to give them a special holiday.

I have many favourite destinations but I especially like Provence and the Cote d’Azur. There are the incredibly glamorous beaches, the wild mountain scenery and the rustic inland villages, not forgetting the delicious regional food and wines and the superb legacy of art, history and cinema. What more could you want?

Deep South, National Parks specialist

I’ve been a Tour Manager for around 19 years and in that time I’ve been privileged to cover most parts of the world for Travelsphere. Since moving to the USA 15 years ago, I have specialised in America and I get a real thrill from showing visitors around my adopted homeland. There is such a tremendous amount to see in this great country – the stunning scenery and diverse wildlife of the national parks, the musical heritage and old-fashioned charm of the Deep South, the gorgeous autumn colours in New England, the beauty and diversity of California and the amazingly vibrant cities on both the east and west coasts.

As an Englishman living here I think I have an advantage in that I have an in-depth knowledge of the country, but at the same time understand what is going to interest our British customers the most. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than sending a Travelsphere group back home to Britain having had the time of their lives over here and hopefully having fulfilled some lifetime dreams and ambitions. And when people come back a second time, it’s like meeting up with old friends, making my job even more of a joy. What a lucky man I am!

Through our Travelsphere Cares scheme we offer a helping hand to a number of local projects all over the world. From creating sustainable livelihoods to supplying much-needed equipment for schools, it’s our way of giving something back to the places we all love. We simply donate from each tour towards a relevant good cause. This means that together we can transform lives through travel.

As our knowledge of a destination grows, so does our understanding of its needs and challenges, and how we can help. Your chosen tour will sometimes include a unique chance to go and meet the people or visit the places that have benefitted from our ongoing projects which your bookings help us to support.
