Discover Your Travel Dreams

Belgium - Group Tour Holidays

On an escorted to Belgium, you’ll discover an intriguing country of historic cities, beautiful countryside, mouth-watering cuisine and hundreds of different varieties of beer.

Brussels, the nation’s capital

The nation’s capital Brussels, offers so much more than politics and European bureaucracy, as you’ll discover when you begin your explorations at the superb Grand-Place. This cobblestone square is fringed by narrow alleyways, elaborate 17th century guild houses and is home to the city’s impressive town hall.  The Grand-Place sits at the heart of Brussels’ Lower Town, and on higher ground above lies the Upper Town. This aristocratic district is where the rich and powerful once resided and the elegant architecture creates an atmosphere of splendour, very different to the hustle and bustle of the Lower Town.

Antwerp, a joy to explore

Lying to the north of Brussels is Antwerp, Belgium’s second-largest city and capital of the province of Flanders. Impressive architecture, cobbled streets, modern shopping centres and a host of cafés, as well as bars selling Belgian beer, make Antwerp a joy to explore. Be sure to take in the compact main square - the Grote Markt – and admire its stunning centrepiece, the monumental Brabo Fountain. Another must-see is the Cathedral of Our Lady, which dominates Antwerp’s skyline.

Charming Bruges and delightful Ghent

Further west, the charming towns of Bruges and Ghent are packed full of Flemish art and architecture. Often referred to as ‘the Venice of the North’, the UNESCO-listed historic centre of Bruges retains much of its medieval character and amid the pretty cobbled streets, charming canals and picturesque market squares, you’ll find majestic churches and traditional gabled houses. Be sure to visit one of the many shops selling lace – Bruges is famous for the production of this intricate fabric.

Ghent is a delightful city awash with wonderful architecture. It brims with history and culture and on a leisurely stroll through the Old Town, you’ll see the magnificent Baroque cathedral St Baafskathedraal, Gravensteen, a fairytale castle with moat and turrets, and the Belfort, a UNESCO-listed belfry which towers over the city. Then, after all of your exploring, why not take a seat and relax in one of the many welcoming bars or cafés.

The scenic beauty of the Ardennes

To the south-east of Belgium the landscape gives way to the scenic beauty of the Ardennes. Here, those with a love of the great outdoors will discover dense forests and rolling hills, pretty villages, magical castles and cave systems carved by underground rivers.
