Accommodation

You will stay in the Radisson Opryland in Nashville, the Holiday Inn Select in Memphis, the Battlefield Inn in Vicksburg and the Hampton Inn & Suites in New Orleans. All bedrooms have private facilities, air-conditioning and TV.

Itinerary

DAY 1 - Nashville
Depart on your scheduled flight to Nashville. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a three night stay.

DAY 2 - Nashville
Nashville is both the capital of Tennessee and the country music capital of the world. We include a full day sightseeing tour visiting Fort Nashborough, the original site of the city’s pioneer settlement, the Parthenon replica, the Country Music Hall of Fame and RCA Studio B.

DAY 3 - Lynchburg
Join an optional excursion to the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, in the town of Lynchburg.

DAY 4 - Memphis
Morning departure to Memphis for a two night stay.

DAY 5 - Memphis
Memphis stands proudly on the bluffs of the mighty Mississippi. A full day sightseeing tour is included, featuring the famous Riverfront, Beale Street (birthplace of the blues), Sun Studios and, of course, Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley. In the evening you can enjoy a special, optional visit to a Blues Club on Beale Street.

DAY 6 - Vicksburg
Drive to Vicksburg for an overnight stay, with sightseeing included. The town is nearly surrounded by the National Military Park, which is as much part of Vicksburg as the historic streets and houses in the centre.

DAY 7 - Natchez
Drive to the charming port of Natchez, straddling the Mississippi River. A tour of Natchez and an elegant antebellum home will be made before continuing into Louisiana and on to New Orleans. Three nights’ accommodation has been arranged.

DAY 8 - New Orleans
You are free in New Orleans to explore.

DAY 9 - New Orleans
Take your seat to enjoy the fabulous Mardi Gras parade. The highlight of the year, planning for the next event will be well underway! You can’t help but be carried away by the spectacular costumes, loud music and smiling faces of the people in the procession - it’s an experience you’re not likely to forget in a hurry!

DAY 10 - New Orleans/UK
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

DAY 11 - UK
Arrival in the UK.
