Accommodation

You will stay in hotels such as the Sandman Inn in Calgary, Mount Royal Hotel in Banff, Amethyst Lodge in Jasper, the Thompson Hotel in Kamloops and the Quality Hotel in Vancouver. Hotel standards are extremely high in Canada. All rooms feature private facilities, TV, telephone and coffee making facilities. There is a restaurant and/or bar in each hotel.

Accommodation on board the Rocky Mountaineer is in RedLeaf class, which includes breakfast and lunch at your seat, complimentary snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks. Upgrades to GoldLeaf are available.

Your cruise ship will be either MS Zuiderdam or Oosterdam. Experience the cruise of a lifetime with this very special add-on. Spend a week aboard a wonderful Holland America Line cruise ship and discover the incredible natural wonder of Alaska’s coastline. Alaska’s incredible coastline is home to some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. Mighty glaciers reach down to the water’s edge, rugged cliffs rise majestically from the placid waters of vast fjords, and fascinating townships line the shore. A range of amazing creatures, from black bears and caribou to seals and killer whales make their home here, and you’ll have ample chance to spot them.

A cruise really is the most rewarding way to experience this breathtaking part of the world. Set sail from Vancouver or Seattle and relax as your ship navigates through narrow channels and myriad islands as it traces its way northwards along the southeast coast of Alaska – known as the Inside Passage. A cornucopia of scenic and natural delights await, and you’ll have plenty of time to see the very best as you glide serenely past fjords, glaciers, forests and historic waterside communities.
