Arriving in Calgary, you will be met by your Travelsphere Tour Manager. Enjoy an overnight stay at the Sandman Inn before the incredibly scenic drive to Jasper, where you will stay for two nights at the Amethyst or Lobstick L odge.
Jasper is a former railroad town, situated at the heart of its own breathtakingly beautiful National Park. We include a half day sightseeing tour that takes in the stunning Pyramid and Patricia Lakes and Maligne Canyon, from where there are spectacular views. Spend the afternoon exploring the delights of Jasper for yourself or join one of the optional excursions available. On our summer departures, you can choose to take a raft trip and nature walk with an experienced local guide.
A real highlight of this superb holiday has to be the outstanding scenery you travel through as you journey along the Icefields Parkway, stopping en route at scenic lookout points, including the Athabasca Falls and the Colombia Icefield. Cascading waterfalls, turquoise lakes and imposing snow-capped peaks dot the skyline of this vast wilderness. During the summer months, jump at the chance to take an optional Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier, and during winter months you can’t help but be amazed by the spectacular winter wonderland that surrounds you. Arriving in Banff, you will check in to the Mount Royal Hotel, where you will stay for four nights.
We include a morning sightseeing tour of Banff, where you will visit the Hoodoos, Surprise Corner and Sulphur Mountain. You’re then free to discover more of Banff for yourself. Why not relax at the Banff Hot Springs, or take a turn around the town’s shops and boutiques? On your final day in Banff, you have the opportunity to visit Lake Louise, an absolute gem of the Rockies and often described as the most beautiful place in Canada.
