Explorer and Heritage Passes

The Explorer pass allows unlimited use of the steam railyway, mountian railyway, horse-drawn tram, electric train and buses. A 3 day Explorer pass cost £24 per adult. The Heritage Pass allows free entry to any four of our attractions . The four site Heritage Pass costs £11 per adult

Accommodation

You will stay in the excellent four star Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club, which is set in 200 acres of countryside. This lovely hotel offers superb facilities including a health and fitness club, an indoor swimming pool, squash courts, sauna, steam room and hair and beauty salon.

Resort

DAY 1 - UK/Isle of Man
Depart on your scheduled flight to the Isle of Man. On arrival, transfer to your hotel near Santon for a four night stay.

DAYS 2 TO 4 - Isle of Man
You are free to relax and explore this beautiful island at your leisure. Santon is a delightful little village around four miles from Douglas on the road to Castletown. Optional excursions will be available or you can use the Explorer and Heritage passes to see more of the island (see panel). Recommended places of interest are:

Douglas - The capital of the island is set on a beautiful bay and has a sweeping promenade over a mile long that’s perfect for walking along. The seafront is lined with stately Victorian buildings, reminders of the island’s former prominence as an incredibly popular place to holiday.

Castle Rushen - Rushen is one of the most impressive medieval castles in existence, located in Castletown. Built from local limestone, the castle was begun by the island’s Viking rulers in the 12th century and has been expanded and altered many times through the years.

Laxey Wheel - Said to be the largest working wheel of its kind in the world, the Laxey Wheel was built in the 1850s. It was used to pump water out of the mines in the days when the Isle of Man was the British Isles’ leading producer of zinc ore.

DAY 5 - Isle of Man/UK
Transfer to the airport for the return flight to the mainland.

Connect to London

If you can’t fly direct to your destination from your local airport, usually you’ll have the choice of taking a regional connecting flight to Heathrow or Gatwick from as little as £69 per person return. On most flights your luggage will automatically be checked through to your final destination, so there’s no need to collect or check your luggage in twice. Flights are usually available from: Aberdeen, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Jersey, Leeds/Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle.
