You can’t help but be impressed by Costa Magica. The décor has been inspired by some of Italy’s most beautiful places, from the Costa Smeralda on Sardinia to the resorts of Portofino and Bellagio. With three swimming pools, a great selection of bars, lounges and restaurants, the spectacular Urbino theatre, a casino and more, there’s no shortage of entertainment on board. Please note that there is a mandatory service charge aboard Costa Magica.

Cruising at sea

DAY 3, Malaga
Arrive Midday - Depart 1800
Malaga is a thriving port which offers an insight into its history at the Picasso Museum, where you will find an impressive collection of work by the city’s most famous son. There are also fantastic views from two Moorish citadels, Alcazaba and Gibralfaro. Optional excursions include Mijas, the caves of Nerja, with their 20,000 year-old wall paintings and Granada’s Alhambra Palace which was thought of as ‘paradise on earth’ when it was built in the 13th and 14th centuries.

DAY 4, Casablanca
Arrive 0730 – Depart 2130
Immortalised on film by Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart, exotic Casablanca on the coast of North Africa is home to elegant boulevards and imposing colonial buildings, not forgetting fabulous souks and bazaars.

DAY 5, Cadiz
Arrive 0830 – Depart 1830
Cadiz is one of Spain’s most historic cities. Enjoy a walk through the narrow streets, visit the Moorish style Almeda de Apodaca Gardens, or go to the historic town of Jerez de la Frontera to see how sherry is made.

DAY 6, Lisbon
Arrive 0800 – Depart 1800
Portugal’s capital Lisbon boasts one of the finest entries of any cruise port in the world. As you sail up the mighty river Tagus, you pass several fascinating landmarks, including the Belem Tower, Jeronimos monastery and the Statue of Christ the King. Discover the many charms of this historic city, including the old quarter of Alfama.

DAY 7, Gibraltar
Arrive 1300 – Depart 1900
This little piece of Britain on the southern coast of Spain makes for a fascinating port of call, famous for its population of Barbary apes and super sights.

DAY 8, Alicante
Arrive Midday – Depart 1900
This popular Spanish sun spot is a delight to visit with its tree-lined streets, pretty harbour and cafés where you can watch the world go by. Look out for the imposing Moorish castle.

DAY 9, Barcelona
Arrive 0800 – Depart 1330
Barcelona is one of the most exciting cities in Europe, with a wealth of beautiful museums, parks and buildings, such as the famous Sagrada Familia, the Picasso Museum and the colourful boulevard Las Ramblas.

DAY 10, Savona, Italy
Arrive 0800
Disembark Costa Magica and transfer to Nice airport for the return flight to the UK.
