Just beyond the charming, timbered village of Olden at the head of Nordfjord, lie the tranquil waters of Oldenvatnet, one of the most beautiful glacial lakes in Norway. Join in the festivities on deck as the staff and crew perform the traditional ‘crossing the Arctic Circle’ ceremony.
Thursday 18th - Leknes, Lofoten Islands
Arrive 1000 – Depart 1800
Leknes is situated on the largest of the Lofoten Islands, Vestvagoy. Its rugged beauty, craggy peaks and soaring cliffs provide the ideal nesting ground for an abundance of birdlife. Join a shore excursion to the picturesque village of Nusfjord and the Vestvagoy Fishing Museum, which demonstrates how fishermen lived many years ago.
Friday 19th - Honningsvag (for the North Cape)

Honningsvag is situated 1,200 miles from the North Pole, and is the starting point for our shore excursion to the North Cape. Here, as you stand on the 300-metre high cliffs, you’ll feel as though you are on top of the world. Cast your gaze across the vast expanse of Arctic Ocean and marvel at the phenomenon of the Midnight Sun, a truly unforgettable experience (weather permitting). We return to the Ocean Majesty to sail past the North Cape and look up at the sheer magnificence of the cliffs.
Saturday 20th - Alta

Alta has a surprisingly warm summer climate. Optional excursions include a visit to Hjemmeluft, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of rock carvings that are believed to be 2,500 years old, or a trip to the Tirpitz War Museum.
Sunday 21st - Tromso

Tromso is a delightful mix of traditional wooden houses and striking modern architecture. Optional excursions include a city tour and a visit to a husky camp.
Monday 22nd - Cruising at sea
Tuesday 23rd - Alesund

Devastated by fire in 1904, Alesund was rebuilt in Art Nouveau style with colourful, extravagantly decorated facades, spires and turrets, which give this lively fishing community a fairytale appearance. Optional excursions include a visit to the neighbouring outer islands of Giske and Godoy and a trip to the fascinating open-air museum to see traditional scenes from Norwegian life throughout the ages.
Wednesday 24th - Bergen
Arrive 0800 – Depart 1800
The ‘Gateway to the Fjords’ is a city steeped in history. The colourfully painted and gabled former warehouses of the Bryggen are now home to craft stores and friendly cafés. Optional excursions include a ride up into the hills for a spectacular view over the city or a visit to the home of composer Edvard Grieg at Troldhaugen.

Today you will receive a certificate to commemorate crossing the Arctic Circle.
