Accommodation

All hotels have been carefully selected for their friendly hospitality and service. All have bar and restaurant, bedrooms with private facilities, telephone and TV. Accommodation is on a half board basis with a cooked Irish breakfast and three course evening meal each day (except Days 1 and 8 which are bed and breakfast only).

Typical of the properties we use are the popular Ardmore Hotel in Dublin, the Hotel King Thomond in Lisdoonvarna, the Cliff House Hotel in Ballybunnion, and the Brandon House Hotel at New Ross.

Itinerary

DAY 1 - UK/Dublin
Depart on your scheduled flight to Dublin. On arrival transfer to your hotel on the outskirts of the city for an overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

DAY 2 - Dublin
Depart after breakfast, for free time in Dublin. You can join our optional guided panoramic tour of Ireland’s capital city, so rich in culture and history with its splendid Georgian squares and many sights of interest, such as the famous Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and lively O’Connell Street. In the afternoon you travel through rolling countryside to the west coast and the Lisdoonvarna region in County Clare where you will stay for three nights on a half board basis.

DAYS 3 TO 4 - Lisdoonvarna
Free to relax and enjoy our optional excursion programme:

Galway - Take in Galway Bay, with plenty of free time to explore popular Galway City with its quaint streets, friendly shops and traditional pubs.

Burren & Cliffs of Moher - A scenic tour of this strange lunar landscape full of caves, streams, pot holes and seasonal lakes. The coastline of County Clare rises to around 700ft at the Cliffs of Moher, from where Galway, Kerry and the Isle of Aran can be seen on a clear day.

DAY 5 - Bunratty
After breakfast we head south and make a stop in Bunratty to visit the Castle and Folk Park (entrance included), which skilfully recreates Irish life in former times. We continue to County Kerry for a two night stay on a half board basis.

DAY 6 - Ballybunnion
Free to relax and enjoy our optional full day tour through Kerry to Killarney. Enjoy a scenic ‘mini-ring’ tour of the Iveragh Peninsula, following the road as far as ‘Ladies View’. Our tour shows you the best of the spectacular seascapes and rugged mountain scenery, with free time in Killarney and the chance to take a traditional jaunting cart ride.

DAY 7 - Blarney & Waterford
Today we head south-east and visit Blarney, where you will have the chance to kiss the famous stone which bestows the ‘gift of the gab’. We also call in at Waterford, before reaching the New Ross area of County Wexford for an overnight stay on a half board basis.

DAY 8 - Avoca
After breakfast we enjoy a scenic drive through the Wicklow Mountains, visiting the village of Avoca, as featured in the popular TV series ‘Ballykissangel’, before returning to the outskirts of Dublin for a final overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

DAY 9 - Dublin/UK
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Connect to London

If you can’t fly direct to your destination from your local airport, usually you’ll have the choice of taking a regional connecting flight to Heathrow or Gatwick from as little as £69 per person return. On most flights your luggage will automatically be checked through to your final destination, so there’s no need to collect or check your luggage in twice. Flights are usually available from: Aberdeen, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Jersey, Leeds/Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle.

Transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approx. 45 mins.

Make your own way

If you want a little more flexibility when making your travel arrangements, for example to stay with friends or family in your destination at the end of your break, you can make your own travel arrangements. Please remember that these arrangements do not include flights or transfers and you will need to make your own travel arrangements at the beginning and end of your holiday.
