Accommodation

Accommodation in Oberammergau will be in a hotel (category HC1), either in Oberammergau village itself or nearby. Depending on your departure date, your accommodation on Lake Garda will be in either the recently renovated, four star Hotel Oasi, located just 50 yards from the lakeside, or the four star Hotel Royal, which enjoys a quiet location just a short walk from the shorefront. Facilities at both hotels include a bar, restaurant, garden and swimming pool. Guest rooms all have private facilities, TV, telephone, air-conditioning and safe.

 

Itinerary

DAY 1
Depart on your scheduled flight to Munich. On arrival transfer to your hotel in the Oberammergau area for a two night stay.

DAY 2
This morning you will be free to explore the village of Oberammergau and visit the museum (entrance included). After an included lunch, you will take your seat for the Passion Play, which breaks for a three-course included dinner before continuing into the evening.

DAY 3
You will leave the pretty Bavarian village of Oberammergau behind this morning as you head through some spectacular scenery into the Italian Lake District. You will stay in the resort of Riva del Garda on the shores of Lake Garda for five nights.

DAY 4
The setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Verona is a charming city. Our three-quarter day tour includes an introductory walk around the city in the company of a local guide, before free time to relax or explore Verona for yourself. One of Italy’s most beautiful and historic cities, there is much to see here, from the ornate fountains of Piazza Bra to the magnificent Roman Arena – the third largest in the world.

DAY 5 
You are free to relax in the delightful surroundings of your hotel today. Alternatively, why not join our optional full day tour of the lake. Travel by both boat and coach as you visit some of the most attractive resorts around the lake, such as Malcesine and Bardolino. Relax and admire the picturesque views of lush olive and lemon groves and pretty villages.

DAY 6
Free to relax or join our optional excursion to Trentino, located to the north of Lake Garda. Known for its wines, this lovely region is also home to some beautiful castles. Enjoy lunch and a wine tasting in one of the castles.

DAY 7
At leisure to explore your glorious surroundings further.

DAY 8
Transfer to Milan airport for your return flight to the UK.
