Complesso dei Fiori (Flower Complex), comprising the Hotels Narcis, Hedera and Mimosa

Accommodation

You will stay at the popular Complesso dei Fiori (Flower Complex), comprising the three star Hotels Narcis, Hedera and Mimosa, a short walk from the centre of Rabac and overlooking the white shingle beach on Maslinica Bay.

Facilities include lifts, two indoor and two outdoor swimming pools (indoor pools low season only), gym, live music and entertainment, plus sauna, solarium and massage at extra charge. The restaurant serves buffet breakfast including hot dishes and four course buffet dinner with local wine and soft drinks included (beer and spirits at extra cost). Open in high season, you can also eat à la carte in the Conca d’Oro restaurant and grill/pizzeria bar at an extra cost.

All bedrooms have private facilities, satellite TV and telephone. Standard rooms are at the rear of the hotel overlooking the access road. Front facing rooms with or without balcony are available at a supplement, some have a view of the sea and most have views of the swimming pools or the attractive gardens.

 

Resort

YOUR RESORT
Sitting on the same sweeping bay as your hotel is the pretty resort of Rabac. The resort has been popular with visitors since the 19th century, drawn by the mild climate, friendly welcome and picturesque setting. The resort benefits from a range of shops, bars and restaurants, along with a maze of charming whitewashed houses with distinctive burnt orange roofs.
 
CHOICE OF OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS

Postojna Caves & Lipica Stud Farm (Slovenia)
A full day tour to the breathtaking subterranean caverns of the Postojna Caves, carved over thousands of years by the Pivka River. The caves consist of fantastic sculpted galleries, chambers and halls, with incredible stalactites and stalagmites. We then visit the Lipica Stud Farm, established in 1580, where the famous white Lipizzaner horses are bred.

Plitvice Lakes
A full day of stunning scenery amid the glorious lakes and forests of Croatia’s Plitvice National Park, among the most beautiful in Europe. Situated in a valley between forested mountain sides, sixteen beautiful lakes spill into each other forming glittering cascades and thundering waterfalls.

Island Cruise & Barbecue
A boat cruise along the coast to the lovely island of Cres, where we drop anchor in a beautiful bay. This wonderful day out includes a barbecue lunch.

Istrian Discovery
A full day excursion to discover the gems of the Istrian Peninsula. From the harbour and Roman ruins of Pula, we continue to Rovinj, a delightful resort on the Adriatic. The charming old town is a warren of narrow streets, pretty squares and welcoming cafés overlooking the colourful harbour. We move on to historic Porec, home to a magnificent basilica with beautiful gold mosaics. It’s a great place to watch the boats come and go, or to take a stroll through the old quarter. Then it’s inland to Pazin, where you can explore the old town with its medieval fortress, before returning to Rabac via a traditional farm to sample some of the local produce, including ham, cheese, cakes and a glass or two of local wine.

Opatija
A half day tour to this delightful resort on Kvarner Bay. Its beautifully maintained gardens, fountains and lovely seven mile long coastal promenade known as the Lungomare form a stunning backdrop to the town’s elegant villas, hotels, shops and cafés.

Venice
A full day trip by high speed catamaran (weather permitting) across the Gulf of Venice to experience the sights of this extraordinary Italian city of canals, bridges, palaces and Renaissance architecture. There is nowhere on earth quite like it. Explore St. Mark’s Square, where you will find the Doges’ Palace and the Basilica di San Marco, with its Romanesque carvings and beautiful mosaics. Marvel at the 325ft high Campanile de San Marco, the magnificent bell tower. Take a walk over the Rialto Bridge, one of Venice’s most famous sights located in the heart of the city, an ideal spot to watch the activity of the boats on the Grand Canal below. Enjoy a stroll around the hidden piazzas or perhaps take a romantic gondola ride through the network of canals.

Regional Connecting Flights

If you can’t fly direct to your destination from your local airport usually you will have the choice of taking a regional connecting flight to Heathrow or Gatwick from as little as £69 per person return. Fly from Aberdeen, Belfast, Durham Tees Valley, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Jersey, Leeds/Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle or Newquay.

Transfers

Transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approx. 1 hour 15 mins.

Make Your Own Way

Make your own way and save up to £150 per person. You may want more flexibility to combine your trip with visits to friends and relatives or travel from an airport that we do not offer. If so, we offer a reduction of £150 on many of our holidays when you make your own way to your holiday hotel.

Please remember that these arrangements do not include flights or transfers to and from your hotel and you will need to make your own travel arrangements.
