DAY 1
Depart on your flight to Dubrovnik, for a two night stay in the region. DAY 2 - Explore the city of Dubrovnik on our half day included tour, visiting the city walls and cathedral, as well as the oldest pharmacy in Europe. After lunch the afternoon is at leisure in Dubrovnik.
DAY 3
This morning we journey to Split, for a guided tour of the city, including entrance to the cathedral and Diocletian’s Palace. After lunch you will continue to the town of Trogir, with time at leisure to discover the palaces, churches and towers of this ancient town before transferring to the Šibenik region for a two night stay.
DAY 4
Morning visit of Sibenik with a guided tour including the Renaissance-style Cathedral of St James. After lunch in a local restaurant, we board the Viking at Primosten and sail this afternoon to the Krka National Park, plus take a river boat trip to view the stunning Skradinski Buk waterfalls. Take a walk around the 17 waterfalls with spectacular views from the top. Return by coach to our Sibenik area hotel.
DAY 5
Today’s cruise aboard the Viking (includes lunch onboard) takes you to the Kornati National Park, where you will visit Dugi Otok, the bay of Telašcia, and the island of Žakan. You will then sail to Zadar for a guided tour of this historic town, where sights include the 13th century St. Anastasia’s Cathedral, the fortified harbour and the old city. Overnight stay in the Zadar region.
DAY 6
Board the Viking this morning at Novalija for your trip to the island of Rab, for a guided tour around the medieval town of the same name, before continuing to the former prison island of Goli Otok. After lunch onboard the ship, you will arrive in Baška, home to one of the longest beaches in Croatia, then it’s on to Krk, the largest island in the Adriatic Sea, we leave the Viking for the last time and visit the town of Krk by coach, with its Mediterranean architecture, narrow streets and fortifications, before crossing the road bridge that links the island to the mainland and travel to your hotel in the Pula region for a two night stay.
DAY 7
This morning you take a guided tour of Pula, including entrance to the Roman amphitheatre. After lunch we continue to Rovinj, one of the most beautiful coastal resorts on the Istrian peninsula, before visiting the Roman town of Porec and taking a tour of the Basilica of Euphrasius. This evening, optional traditional Istrian evening farewell, with music and wine.
DAY 8
Transfer to Pula airport for your return flight to the UK.
