America's Golden West with Hawaii add-on

Where else but in the Golden West could you find such an amazing collection of world-famous sights and a fantastic climate? Visit Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco; gaze in awe at the Grand Canyon, follow in the footsteps of the stars at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, or relax amidst the glamour of Palm Springs. You’ll also journey along the stunning Pacific coastline including 17-mile drive and a section of US Highway 1. Along the way we visit Santa Barbara, Carmel and Monterey before arriving in the ‘City by the Bay’ – San Francisco.

At the end of your American holiday why not head to Hawaii for an idyllic stay on the tranquil island of Oahu. This 6-night add-on has been specially planned for those of you who would like to relax and soak up the sunshine. With a tour of the island included and a range of optional excursions available, you can do as much or as little as you like. This add-on can be taken in conjunction with the America’s Golden West tour and the Western Explorer tour.

Oahu is perhaps the most famous island because it contains Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii, and fabulous Waikiki, an international resort with hotels, shops, restaurants and 24-hour nightlife. It is nevertheless a remarkably compact resort. The vast Kapiolani Park is nearby, and Waikiki Beach itself stretches a long way towards fabled Diamond Head. The beach was once the exclusive playground of Hawaiian chiefs and royalty and it was here that they honed their skills in the native Hawaiian sport of surfing. From a royal playground, Waikiki has developed into a fun-packed resort with a glamorous atmosphere.
