Typically the hotels you will stay in include the Rundlestone Lodge in Banff and the Lobstick Lodge in Jasper. All rooms feature private facilities, TV, telephone and tea or coffee-making facilities. At Lake Louise you will stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise which is set on the banks of the lake and offers unparalleled views. Day 1: UK/Banff

Depart on your flight to Calgary and transfer to your hotel in Banff for a three-night stay.

Day 2: Banff National Park

The attractive town of Banff is situated in the heart of the Banff National Park. Gaze in awe at mighty snow-capped peaks, crystal clear lakes and sparkling streams; drive through rugged canyons with crashing waterfalls; marvel at a vast wilderness of huge pine forests. Indeed, in Banff itself it is not unusual to spot wildlife in the main street. This morning you may wish to enjoy an optional sightseeing tour of Banff. This takes you to Surprise Corner, The Hoodoos and the Bow River.

Day 3: Banff National Park

Explore this fascinating area at your own pace today. Perhaps step aboard a helicopter on an optional tour to experience a birds-eye view of this breathtaking area and the glistening peaks of the Rockies.

Day 4: Icefields Parkway

You will head north today along the remarkable Icefields Parkway. This unique highway cuts through the mountain ranges at 7,000 ft above sea level and the mountains that flank the highway soar to 11,000 ft. This is a truly majestic journey and a great way to travel to Jasper, your destination for the next three nights.

Days 5 - 6: Jasper/Jasper National Park

Jasper, a former railroad town, is situated in the heart of the breathtakingly beautiful Jasper National Park. There will be an orientation tour of Jasper and surrounding area. Highlights include the stunning Pyramid and Patricia Lakes from which you can enjoy some spectacular views. During your stay you will have the opportunity to join a wealth of optional activities subject to local weather conditions. These include a nature walk or drive accompanied by an experienced guide plus the opportunity to take an ice walk through the canyon.

Day 7: Lake Louise

Today we leave Jasper behind and journey to the beautiful and atmospheric Lake Louise. Writers have described Lake Louise as the most beautiful place in Canada - a glacial, jade-green lake, high in the mountains and surrounded on all sides by towering, snow-capped peaks. The views across the lake and of the mountains encompassing the lake are absolutely breathtaking; you will feel dwarfed by their majesty and presence. You will stay at the incomparable Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, a real highlight of your week in the Rockies. During your stay at Lake Louise, you may even have the chance to take an optional sleigh ride.

Day 8: Lake Louise/UK

Your spectacular journey comes to an end today as we transfer you back to Calgary airport for your return journey to the UK.

Day 9: UK

Arrive in the UK.
