You will stay at hotels such as the Hotel Maritime in Montreal and the Bond Place in Toronto. All the comfortable bedrooms feature TV, telephone and private facilities. Both hotels have a bar/restaurant. Hotels will be confirmed in your final documents.
Itinerary
Day 1: UK/Montreal
Depart on your scheduled flight to Montreal. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a three night stay.
Day 2: Montreal
Montreal is a magnificent city famous for its many parks, cobbled streets and a host of historic sites. This morning a sightseeing tour is included, which will take you to Mount Royal, the jewel of Montreal’s city parks, Old Montreal, St Lawrence Seaway, a series of locks, canals and dams along the St Lawrence River, and Notre Dame Cathedral, a striking building which is noted for its lavish and beautiful interior. This afternoon is free for you to explore further at your leisure. This evening you may choose to join our optional Montreal by night excursion which includes dinner.
Day 3: Quebec
Included full-day excursion to Quebec City with a sightseeing tour of the old city. Quebec City stands proudly on the mighty St Lawrence River. It is a city of winding cobbled streets, ancient churches and stone buildings. Famous sights include the Cathedral, Château Frontenac, the Basilica, the giant star-shaped Citadel and the Plains of Abraham, the scene of the decisive battle in 1759 between the French and the English for the control of Canada.
Day 4: Ottawa
Depart Montreal and drive to Ottawa, an elegant city situated on the ideau Canal. Its main attractions are the Parliament Buildings and the luxurious Château Laurier Hotel, a magnificent building whose turrets and masonry give it the elegant look of a French château. Continue along the shores of Lake Ontario to Toronto, where you will stay for three nights.
Day 5: Toronto
This morning we include a short orientation tour of Toronto, featuring the Rogers Centre, formerly known as the SkyDome, the City Hall and Parliament Building. You will also stop at the 1,815ft high CN Tower, which offers fantastic views across the city. We then continue on to Niagara Falls. The Falls are divided into two parts, the Canadian and the American Falls. The Canadian Falls are larger, 180ft high with a crest of 2,200ft forming a horseshoe-shaped curve Enjoy an optional lunch overlooking the spectacular falls, take a ride on the ‘Maid of the Mist’ boat, or for an alternative view you could choose to take to the skies for a thrilling helicopter ride. (please note the ‘Maid of the Mist’ boat tour operates from mid-May to mid-October).
Day 6: Toronto
Spend today at leisure enjoying the many attractions of Toronto at your own pace. Why not enjoy a spot of shopping at the Eaton Centre or take a look around one of the many museums and art galleries this lovely city has to offer. This evening, you could choose to dine in one of the city’s many international restaurants, or perhaps take in a show in the renowned theatre district.
Day 7: Toronto
Enjoy more free time in Toronto today before continuing to the airport for your return flight back to the UK.
Day 8: UK
Arrival in the UK.
