Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe

You will stay in a comfortable 2-star hotel in the suburbs of Paris, such as the Campanile Argenteuil or Campanile Suresnes. All bedrooms have private facilities, telephone and TV. Hotels will be confirmed in your final documents.

Day 1: UK/Calais

Local departure and an afternoon crossing to Calais. Evening arrival at your hotel on the outskirts of Paris for a three night stay.

Day 2: Paris

Free to relax and enjoy our optional excursions.

Capital Tour

This comprehensive full day excursion takes you on a panoramic tour of Paris, which will show you the city’s main sights, including the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame and the Champs Elysées. You will also have some free time to explore at your own pace, or maybe find a café in which to enjoy lunch and a drink, before our coach returns you to the hotel.

Paris by Night

A chance to view the wonderfully illuminated architecture and sample the magical atmosphere of the city by night.

Day 3: Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe

Today we include a full day visit to the historic Longchamp Racecourse in the Bois de Boulogne - and who knows, perhaps you’ll choose a winner! There is a full programme of racing, the centrepiece being the Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe. This prestigious event is one of the world’s greatest horse races - the ultimate test for thoroughbreds from all over the world, where the winner will receive a fantastic €4 million prize. It was first run in 1920 and has been held on the first Sunday in October ever since, being cancelled only in 1939 and 1940.

Depart after breakfast for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK and return to your original departure point in the evening.
