Days 2 - 4: Strasbourg
Free to explore Strasbourg under your own steam, or enjoy our included excursions:
Strasbourg - Our included morning walking tour of Strasbourg’s old quarter starts at the landmark of the city, the Notre Dame Cathedral. Your afternoon is free to explore at your own pace. Why not take an optional boat trip through the network of canals – a great way to see the city.
Colmar & Kaysersberg - Enjoy a guided tour of Colmar, home to the creator of the Statue of Liberty, before moving on to Kaysersberg. Reputed to be one of the prettiest villages on the Alsace Wine Road, Kaysersberg has an impressive 12th century hillside fortress.
We also offer an optional excursion:
The Alsace Wine Road - This fascinating full day excursion takes you along the Alsace Wine Road, starting at Gertwiller where you visit a traditional Alsace gingerbread shop, before continuing to Chateau Haut Koenigsbourg and Ribeauville. It’s then on to the wine cellars of Zellenberg for a tasting before finishing the day in Riquewihr, which has remained virtually unchanged since the 16th century.
Day 5: Paris/UK
Early afternoon, board the TGV service to Paris, where you board the Eurostar for the return journey to the UK, arriving early evening.
