Walking in Croatia

You will stay at the popular Complesso dei Fiori (Flower Complex), comprising the 3 star Hotels Narcis, Hedera and Mimosa, a short walk from the centre of Rabac and overlooking the white shingle beach on Maslinica Bay.

Facilities include lifts, two outdoor swimming pools, an indoor pool (low season only), gym, live music and entertainment, plus sauna, solarium and massage at extra charge. The busy restaurant serves buffet breakfast including hot dishes and buffet dinner with local wine, soft drinks or beer included (spirits at extra cost). Open in high season, (June to September) you can also eat à la carte in the Conca d’Oro restaurant and grill/pizzeria bar at an extra cost.

All bedrooms have private facilities, satellite TV and telephone. Your front facing room (with balcony available at a supplement), will either have a view of the sea or the attractive gardens. Our accommodation is in the Mimosa building with air-conditioning (June to Sept).

Day 1: UK/Croatia

Depart on your flight to Rijeka. On arrival transfer to your resort hotel for a seven night stay.

Days 2 - 7: Croatia

Walks are organised by our experienced local guides.

The following excursions are included:

Rabac Nature Walk

On this delightful half-day walk in the Karst area around Rabac, enjoy the beautiful scenery and visit the charming villages of Kosi and Ripenda (approx. 4 hours’ walk).

Green Istria

This lovely full day walk takes us uphill to the village of Gondolici to the peak of Ostri and then to the pretty village of Skitaca (approx. 5 hours’ walk). There will be an included lunch in a mountain hut. Return by coach.

Discover Labin

Enjoy a half day walking tour to nearby Labin, a delightful medieval town. We return to Rabac via a picturesque waterfall (approx. 4 hours’ walk).

Plomin Hill

A challenging full day trip offering stunning views from the peak of Plomin Hill over Kvarner Bay. On our descent we visit the town of Plomin, where we enjoy an included traditional fish lunch (approx. 5 hours’ walk).

Istrian Discovery

A full day excursion to discover the gems of the Istrian Peninsula. From the harbour and the Roman ruins of Pula, we continue to Rovinj, a delightful resort on the Adriatic. The charming old town is a warren of narrow streets and cafés overlooking the harbour. Our next stop, Porec is home to a magnificent basilica with beautiful gold mosaics and an interesting old quarter. Then it’s inland to Pazin, where you explore the old town with its medieval fortress.

Opatija

A half day visit to this popular resort on Kvarner Bay. There are beautifully maintained gardens, fountains and a lovely seven mile long coastal promenade known as the Lungomare.

Island Cruise & Barbecue

A popular fun boat cruise along the coast to the lovely island of Cres, where we drop anchor in a beautiful bay. This wonderful day out includes a barbecue lunch onboard.

Day 8: Croatia/UK

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
