Your base at Rabac on Maslinica Bay has been popular with visitors since the 19th century, drawn by the mild climate, friendly welcome and picturesque setting. It is an ideal starting point for walks to discover the truly beautiful landscape and historic sites of the Istrian Peninsula.

- Rabac Nature Walk
On this delightful half day walk in the Karst area around Rabac, enjoy the beautiful scenery and visit the charming villages of Kosi and Ripenda (approx. 4 hours’ walk).

- Green Istria
This lovely full day walk takes us uphill to the village of Gondolici to the peak of Ostri and then to the pretty village of Skitaca (approx. 5 hours’ walk). There will be an included lunch in a mountain hut. Return by coach.

- Discover Labin
Enjoy a half day walking tour to nearby Labin, a delightful medieval town. We return to Rabac via a picturesque waterfall (approx. 4 hours’ walk).

- Sisol Mountain
A challenging full day trip offering stunning views from the peak of Mount Sisol over Kvarner Bay. On our descent we visit the town of Plomin, where we enjoy an included traditional fish lunch (approx. 6 hours’ walk).

A full day of stunning scenery amid the glorious lakes and forests of Croatia’s Plitvice National Park, among the most beautiful in Europe. Situated in a valley between forested mountain sides, sixteen beautiful lakes spill into each other forming glittering cascades and thundering waterfalls.

- Opatija
A half day visit to this popular resort on Kvarner Bay. There are beautifully maintained gardens, fountains and a lovely seven mile long coastal promenade known as the Lungomare.

- Island Cruise & Barbecue
A fun boat cruise along the coast to the lovely island of Cres, where we drop anchor in a beautiful bay. This wonderful day out includes a barbecue lunch onboard.

These are for anyone who is comfortable walking hills. Still plenty of time to rest and enjoy the scenery, however on slightly more rugged terrain. Walking boots with ankle support are recommended.

These are fairly strenuous, for the more accomplished hill walker. A larger number of continuous stretches of walking, often in mountainous terrain where paths can be steep. Walking boots with ankle support and trekking poles are recommended.

Ascent: Less than 1000m per day
