Accommodation
The Ramada Lake Garda is a 4-star hotel, situated a few kilometres from the village of Moniga. The hotel offers good accommodation located in the hills above the lake. Rooms have a terrace or balcony, TV, air-conditioning and mini-bar. Hotel facilities include swimming pool, sunterrace and restaurant.
Sometimes accommodation will be in alternative hotels of a similar standard. Hotels will be confirmed in your final documents.

Itinerary
Day 1: UK/Verona
Depart on your flight to Verona. On arrival transfer to Lake Garda for a four-night stay.
Days 2 - 4: Lake Garda
Free to relax and enjoy our optional excursion programme.

Lake Garda (optional)
A full-day tour around this fabulous lake. We will stop at one of the many delightful resorts where you can shop and enjoy the scenery. Lake Garda is the largest of the Italian lakes, set against pretty lakeside resorts and dramatic scenery including the peaks of the Dolomites.
The Dolomites (optional)
This full-day excursion takes you through Italy’s Dolomite Mountains. The spectacular landscape is filled with jagged granite peaks which tower over picturesque towns and villages. 18 peaks rise to above 3000 metres creating a fascinating vista and the most significant mountain range in northern Italy.
Verona (optional)
A three-quarter day excursion to this ancient city, home to a fine Roman arena and an immense wealth of history and culture. Be sure to visit the wellpreserved Roman theatre, the tombs of the Scaligeri family, the fascinating art collections housed in Fort Belvedere and Juliet’s balcony – Verona is the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
Day 5: Trieste, Italy/Costa Classica
Depart 17:00
Transfer to Trieste and embark Costa Classica for your seven-night cruise.

Day 6: Ancona, Italy
Arrive 09:00 – Depart 14:00
The port of Ancona is the gateway to Italy’s beautiful Le Marche region. Explore the town’s Romanesque cathedral and the 18th century Lazzaretto. The Lazzaretto, at the port area, is a pentagonal shaped structure which was commissioned in the 18th century as a quarantine building to protect the city from any diseases which may arrive via the port.

Day 7: Dubrovnik, Croatia
Arrive 08:00 – Depart 19:00
The city of Dubrovnik is known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ and boasts a remarkable history. It once rivalled Venice in status. Admire the old town and stroll alongside the Stradun, the main promenade. Visit the Franciscan monastery with its historic pharmacy, the Rector’s Palace and the cathedral, which was built in the 17th century.

Day 8: Corfu, Greece
Arrive 12:00 – Depart 19:00
Corfu, the second largest of the Ionian group of islands, is considered by many as one of the most beautiful Greek islands. Its gentle hills are lined with attractive olive groves, historic sites can be discovered throughout the islands and there is an abundance of inviting sandy beaches. Perhaps take time to enjoy the attractive towns and villages of this charming island.

Day 9: Kefalonia, Greece
Arrive 08:00 – Depart 14:00
Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian islands. It has many wonderful beaches with fine sand and turquoise waters. Picturesque villages dot the mountainous landscape, which also boasts pretty lakes and verdant forests. Enjoy the harbour towns and bustling life that they attract with both traditional and modern eateries, bars and boutiques.

Day 10: Kotor, Montenegro
Arrive 13:30 – Depart 19:00
Located in a beautiful bay and surrounded by an impressive city wall, Kotor’s old town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its labyrinth of winding, cobbled streets to discover ancient churches and museums as well as shops and bars.

Day 11: Split, Croatia
Arrive 08:00 – Depart 17:00
With a long and eventful history, Split offers visitors a wealth of museums and Roman ruins to explore amid a dramatic mountain backdrop. Stroll along the tree lined promenade along the waters edge, wander through the marble streets and learn of Split’s fascinating history as you admire the well preserved architecture, churches, underground markets and picturesque courtyards and squares.

Day 12: Trieste, Italy/UK
Arrive 09:00
Disembark Costa Classica and transfer to Verona airport for your return flight to the UK.
