The resort nestles along the western shore of the lake and has many examples of fine old buildings warmed and mellowed by the sun for more than three hundred summers. As you stroll through the old town and enjoy the panoramic views across the lake, your abiding memory will be of the sight and scent of flowers – particularly the magnolias and oleanders. The renowned botanical gardens of the Villa Taranto are a short walk from the hotel and the enchanting Borromean Islands, including Isola Bella, are a delightful boat trip across the lake.
