Grand Tour of Italy
Grand Tour of Italy

You will be immersed in the magic of Italy on this fascinating tour. From the delights of Lake Maggiore and the beauty of Tuscany, to historic Rome and stunning Sorrento, you'll experience it all.

Included excursions

  • Borromean Islands

This is a fabulous introduction to Lake Maggiore, visiting two of the most famous islands by private boat, Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella with its palace and terraced gardens.

  • Pisa

A half day excursion to historic Pisa, where the amazing Leaning Tower stands precariously in the appropriately named ‘Field of Miracles’, which is also home to the Duomo, the Baptistry and the monumental cemetery. The tower took an incredible 176 years to complete and is truly a sight that needs to be seen to be believed.

  • Rome

A comprehensive full day Rome city tour in the company of an official guide. You will be introduced to the very best that Rome has to offer, seeing sights such as the Colosseum, the Vatican City and ruins dating back to the days of the Empire in the ancient quarter, Roma Antica. You will also visit wonderful monuments such as the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, along with the beautiful Piazza di Spagna, with its famous designer shops and charming cafés.

  • Lake Garda

Surrounded by lush groves of olives, vines and citrus trees. We will stop at one of the many delightful resorts where you can shop, relax, take a glass of wine and enjoy the spectacular scenery. You will also enjoy an included cruise on the lake.

Optional excursions

  • Amalfi Coast

As the road twists and turns down the coastline you will enjoy breathtaking views across the Gulf of Naples. Enjoy free time in the picturesque resort of Amalfi, poised between the mountain and the sea. The town is dominated by its highly decorative Renaissance cathedral, built in the 9th century and well worth a visit. Exploring the narrow streets, you’ll find plenty of cafés, shops and restaurants. Continue to the historic cliff-top town of Ravello, the jewel of the Naples Coast. From here you can enjoy magnificent views of the coastline below.

  • Florence

Florence – the ‘art city’, home of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Architectural treasures include the Ponte Vecchio, the oldest surviving bridge to span the River Arno, the wonderful Duomo and the beautiful gothic Santa Croce Church. To ensure your return to this delightful city, rub the nose of the bronze boar in Mercato Nuovo and throw a few coins into the grating at his feet.

  • Capri

Take our optional full day excursion to the island of Capri, travelling by ferry. You'll visit the villages of Capri and Anacapri, the Gardens of Caesar Augustus and see Faraglioni Rocks.

Also included
