The site of Russia’s government, the fortified Kremlin houses four palaces and four cathedrals, as well as towers, squares and the armoury. Built, rebuilt and added to a number of times over the last almost 900 years, the Kremlin has a turbulent history, with intrigue and bloodshed a common occurrence. In its recent history, both Lenin and Stalin based their governments within its walls, which remained closed to outsiders until 1955. Your tour is a fascinating insight into the spectacular architecture and hidden history of the Kremlin.
