Your river cruiser - MV Serenade I
The MV Serenade I is chartered exclusively for Travelsphere's sister company, Page & Moy. On each cruise aboard this fourstar cruiser you will be accompanied by two Page & Moy cruise representatives.
The first-class on-board accommodation features the luxury of spacious cabins and bathrooms with both a shower and separate bath, which is unusual for a river cruiser. You can spend your time watching the stunning views unfold from the panoramic windows of the lounge, savour delicious cuisine in the elegant dining room and sit back and relax with a range of evening entertainment.

Day 1: UK/Vienna

Set sail from Vienna onward to your first destination, Esztergom.

Day 2: Esztergom, Hungary
Arrive 08:00 – Depart 12:30
This small town sitting on the Danube is one of Hungary’s most historical cities. From the elegant Széchenyi Square you can enjoy a stroll along the shady banks of the Kis-Duna, the ‘Small Danube’. Our optional excursion will introduce you to its spectacular marble and gilded Basilica perched on a hilltop.

Day 3: Budapest, Hungary

Budapest is a striking city straddling the Danube River and punctuated by a host of architectural gems. Our optional tour takes in the enormous St Stephen’s Basilica, built to hold 8,000 worshippers, and the spectacular Heroes’ Square, which is adorned with statues. You may opt to see the Pustza Equestrian Show from Budapest, where traditional Magyar cowboys demonstrate their impressive riding skills.

Day 4: Bratislava, Slovakia
Arrive 13:00 – Depart 22:00
Slovakia’s capital is a beautiful ancient city which is easily explored on foot. Discover its highlights on our optional tour, including picturesque Venturskala Street, where Franz Liszt and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart once performed as children. At one end of the street you will see the medieval Michael Tower and a fascinating gun museum. The magnificent 15th century castle dominates the skyline and provides a perfect vista over the Danube Plain.

Day 5: Vienna, Austria

Charm and elegance are synonymous with Austria’s capital, Vienna. Our optional tour will take you through the city streets lined with a wealth of beautifully preserved historic buildings, from former imperial residences to humble burghers’ houses. Visit the elegant Schönbrunn Palace – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This evening, why not attend an optional Mozart and Strauss concert in this famous city of music.

Day 6: Melk, Austria
Arrive 14:00 – Depart 08:00
The little town of Melk is home to one of the finest Baroque monasteries in Europe. Its wonderful yellow and white façade, opulent gold pulpit, delicate frescoes and ornate gilding remain untouched by the years.

Day 7: Cruising at sea
Relax on the journey to Linz.

Day 8: Linz, Austria
Arrive 17:00 – Depart 22:30
This vibrant city has many museums to explore and urban architecture to be admired. From here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Cesky Krumlov, in the neighbouring Czech Republic. One of Europe’s best preserved medieval towns, this is a real historical gem.

Day 9: Passau, Germany
Arrive 07:00
Passau, where the Danube, Inn and Ilz rivers meet, is a beautiful city. The 14th century Cathedral of St Steven rises in the heart of the old town, and in it sounds the world’s largest church organ.

Day 10: Passau/UK
Your cruise comes to an end today as you disembark in Passau and transfer to Munich for your return flight to the UK.
