Itinerary

Day 1: UK/Bangkok

Depart on your scheduled flight to Bangkok.

Day 2: Bangkok

Arrival in Bangkok. Transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay. Rest of the day free to relax.

Day 3: Bangkok

Included this morning is a sightseeing tour of Bangkok visiting the Grand Palace and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple. During the evening there will be an optional Thai dinner with a performance of traditional dancing.

Day 4: Luang Prabang

Morning flight to mystical Luang Prabang in northern Laos for a two night stay. Situated in an idyllic mountain setting at the confluence of the River Nam Khan and the mighty Mekong, this World Heritage Site has been declared the bestpreserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. Comprehensive included sightseeing begins this afternoon.

Day 5: Kuang Si Waterfalls

Enjoy a scenic drive to the Kuang Si Waterfalls today, stopping at the Hmong Minority village en route for an insight into the traditional culture of Laos. We’ll also visit a bear rescue centre, where these giants of the forest are rehabilitated in wellmaintained, natural surroundings. On arrival at the waterfalls, we take a walk through the rainforest, where we will see many small cascades of water, turquoise pools perfect for swimming and the staggering main falls, which drop 180ft. Enjoy lunch next to the waterfall, with spectacular views of the water as it crashes down.

Day 6: Vientiane

It’s an early start this morning as we pay a visit to the bustling open air market on the banks of the Mekong, admiring the superb range of fresh produce on display, before heading to the Vat Mai temple. We then fly to Vientiane, the intriguing capital of Laos situated on the Mekong, for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Vientiane/Hanoi

Join us today for an included sightseeing tour of Vientiane, which includes a visit to the gigantic That Luang Stupa, the national symbol of Laos, as well as the Vat Sisaket Temple, the victory gate of Patcusay and more. This afternoon, fly to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, for a three night stay. This afternoon you will visit the city’s lakes, parks and elegant French colonial mansions.

Day 8: Hanoi

Today’s walking tour of Hanoi takes you to see the Ancient Quarter, One Pillar Pagoda and Ba Dinh Square.

Pre-bookable optional excursion - This evening you may wish to take the optional excursion by pedicab to a traditional Water Puppet show.

Day 9: Hanoi

Enjoy a day at leisure or take our Pre-bookable optional excursion - Take a full day excursion to Halong Bay including a boat cruise. (Lunch will be included with Halong Bay excursion)

Day 10: Hue

Today you fly to Hue the former capital of Vietnam for an overnight stay. Pre-bookable optional excursion - You can take an optional excursion to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, the royal tombs and enjoy an cruise on the Perfume River.

Day 11: Hoi An

Pre-bookable optional excursion - Visit to the Citadel, seat of royal power in ancient times, before you depart on the beautiful coastal drive to Hoi An for a two night stay.

Day 12: Hoi An

Hoi An is a picturesque, ancient riverside town and the most enchanting place on the Vietnamese coast. Today’s walking tour is followed by a guided cycle ride into the countryside this afternoon.

Day 13: Saigon

Morning at leisure before transferring to Danang airport for the flight to Saigon for a two night stay.

Day 14: Saigon

A morning tour of Saigon includes visits to the Presidential Palace, War Museum and the former Rue Catinat, as well as passing the Notre Dame Cathedral. Pre-bookable optional excursion - Take an optional afternoon drive and visit the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels.

Day 15: Can Tho

This morning you drive to Cai Be for a cruise into the Mekong Delta with lunch at a farmer’s house. After disembarking at Vinh Long, you take the ferry to Can Tho for an overnight stay on the banks of the Mekong.

Day 16: Phnom Penh

After a morning boat trip to the floating market at Cai Rang, you return to explore Can Tho before driving to Chau Doc for a river cruise to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia where accommodation has been arranged for a two night stay.

Day 17: Phnom Penh

Sightseeing in Phnom Penh includes visits to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, History Museum, the waterfront and Wat Phnom.

Day 18: Siem Reap

You fly to Siem Reap for a two night stay and a first visit to the extraordinary Angkor Wat, an exotic temple complex, which has become the symbol of Cambodia.

Day 19: Siem Reap

Today you revisit the Angkor Complex, followed by dinner and a traditional dancing display this evening.

Day 20: Bangkok

Pre-bookable optional excursion - Take an optional drive to Tonle Sap Lake and enjoy a boat trip to see the floating villages. In the late afternoon you will fly to Bangkok for a final overnight stay.

Day 21: Bangkok/UK

Transfer to the airport for your return flight. As you will be flying westwards your arrival is later the same day.
