You will stay at hotels such as the Protea Hotel Vic Junction in Cape Town, the Arniston Hotel & Spa in Cape Agulhas, the Protea Hotel Knysna Quays in Knysna, the Protea Hotel Marine in Port Elizabeth, the Protea Hotel Wanderers in Johannesburg and the Protea Hotel Kruger Gate close to the Kruger National Park. Itinerary
Day 1: UK/South Africa
Depart today on your flight to Cape Town.
Day 2: Cape Town
Arrive this morning in the vibrant city of Cape Town, taking in a selection of its best sights en route to your hotel - including Table Mountain and the cable car (weather permitting), where you will stay for the next three nights.
Day 3: Cape Town
Enjoy a day at leisure, or why not head into the world-renowned Winelands on an optional full day tour. You’ll get to sample the superb vintages and tour a cellar, giving you a wonderful insight into this productive industry.

Day 4: Cape Town
Join us on an optional full day tour to the spectacular Cape Peninsular, including a visit to the stunning Kirstenbosch Gardens and an opportunity to see the penguins on Boulders Beach.

Day 5: Cape Agulhas
Today’s scenic journey takes you to the southernmost tip of Africa - Cape Agulhas. Marvel at the penguin colony that lives at Stoney Point, then take a cliff walk at Hermanus - an absolute must during whale season. You’ll tour the fascinating Shipwreck Museum in Bredasdorp before arriving at Cape Agulhas for a two night stay.

Day 6: Cape Agulhas
Known as the ‘Cape of Storms’ because of its often-treacherous sea conditions, Cape Agulhas is home to South Africa’s secondoldest working lighthouse, originally built in 1848. This evening, enjoy a traditional dinner of freshly-caught fish.

Day 7: Knysna
Sit back and enjoy South Africa’s beautiful scenery as you take the leisurely journey to Knysna, arriving early afternoon for a two night stay. Your afternoon is free for you to discover the lively markets and waterfront area.

Why not join our optional excursion to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, where you’ll enjoy lunch in beautiful surroundings.

Day 9: Port Elizabeth
Take a scenic drive along the Garden Route, stopping to admire the views at Plettenberg Bay and Storms River Bridge. Continues to Port Elizabeth, where you stay overnight.

Day 10: Johannesburg
Transfer to the airport and fly to Johannesburg. On arrival, visit the world famous township of Soweto, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch at Chez Alina and visit the former home of Nelson Mandela. Stay overnight in Johannesburg.

Day 11: Kruger National Park
Surely a highlight in a holiday of highlights, today you will journey into the incredible Kruger National Park, enjoying a game drive as you travel to your lodge for a three night stay.

Day 12: Kruger National Park
Wake up to the incredible sights and sounds of nature, with a day at leisure to discover more about this immense natural wonder. Perhaps take a thrilling hot air balloon ride over the park, join a morning tour along the breathtaking Panorama Route, or indulge in a magical sunset game drive, sipping a sundowner cocktail.

Day 13: Kruger National Park
Today we include an early morning game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for elephant, buffalo, lion, zebra, rhino, impala, cheetah and hippo. This afternoon, you are free to enjoy an optional game drive, interact with an elephant, or take a ride on one of these majestic mammals.

Day 14: Johannesburg/UK
Take the opportunity to join a final optional early morning game drive in the Kruger National Park, then enjoy a leisurely breakfast before transferring to Johannesburg airport for the return flight to the UK.
