The city of Hanoi in the north of Vietnam is the ideal place to start your holiday. You will stay in the capital for three nights, enjoying a tour of the city, a water puppet show and a tour to beautiful Halong Bay, where you will take a four hour boat cruise with included seafood lunch.
From Hanoi, you will fly to the city of Hue for an overnight stay, city tour, cruise on the Perfume River and visit to the ancient Citadel before starting on the beautiful coastal drive to Danang. It’s then on to the charming seaport of Hoi An, where you stay for three nights. Whilst in Hoi An, we include a walking tour of the city, a guided bicycle ride into the city and a full day excursion to the stunning monuments at My Son, which was a major religious centre in the Champa Kingdom.
From Danang, you will fly to Cam Ranh then take the drive inland through some spectacular scenery to Dalat, where two nights’ accommodation has been arranged. Visit Dalat’s bustling market, Bo Dai, the summer residence of Vietnam’s last emperor and Dalat Cathedral, as well as taking a leisurely drive in the countryside.
On New Year’s Eve you will take the drive to Ho Chi Minh City, perhaps better known as Saigon, stopping at coffee and tea plantations en route. You will stay in Saigon for two nights. We include a gala dinner on New Year’s Eve and a morning tour of the city, as well as a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels.
From Saigon, you journey deep into the Mekong Delta, to Can Tho where you stay overnight. It’s then on to the floating market at Cai Rang before returning to Saigon for a final overnight stay before flying home.
