Your stay will include three nights’ full board accommodation: two nights at Royal Chitwan and a night in Kathmandu before flying home, plus a full programme of jungle activities, including an elephant-back safari, nature walk and canoeing.

Itinerary

DAY 1 - Kathmandu/Chitwan National Park
(This is day 9 of the main itinerary) You will travel by coach from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park. A Land Rover will pick you up at the roadside village of Sunachuri which is 1.6 miles from the resort. There will be a short briefing on arrival. Two nights accommodation has been reserved for you at Machan wildlife resort, in the Royal Chitwan National Park.

This afternoon there will be an elephant back safari where guests will ride on elephant back to explore the jungle and its wildlife; the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkey, wild boar, bison, leopard and, if lucky, the royal Bengal tiger. Ride is about 2-3 hours.

DAY 2 - Rapti River
This morning you take a canoe trip on the Rapti River to view the birds and animals of the river banks. You will visit the elephant stables to learn more about these fascinating animals. In the afternoon you will take a guided walk around the main areas of the park including Sal forest, open grassland and jungle. This evening a special Tharu stick dance is performed.

DAY 3 - Kathmandu
With over 400 species of birds in this area this morning will be dedicated to a guided bird watch. This area is considered a paradise for bird watchers. You will then transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kathmandu where overnight accommodation has been reserved for you.

DAY 4 - Kathmandu/UK
Transfer to the airport for your return flight back to the UK where arrival will be later the same day.
