DAY 1
Depart on your scheduled flight to Calgary. On arrival transfer to your hotel in Banff for a three night stay.
DAY 2
Today we have organised an included half day tour of Banff.
DAY 3
Today, why not take our optional full day excursion to glacial, jade-green Lake Louise, sat high in the mountains and surrounded on all sides by towering peaks.
DAY 4
Depart Banff for the spectacular drive to Jasper. Enjoy an optional sno-coach ride on the Athabasca Glacier. Two nights’ accommodation has been arranged in Jasper.
DAY 5
A half day sightseeing tour of Jasper has been arranged, including a trip to Pyramid and Patricia Lakes and the area around Jasper. This afternoon take the optional excursion by train along the Whistler Mountain Railway.
DAY 6
Board the Skeena today for a wonderful rail journey to Prince George, travelling in Totem Deluxe class. Departing Jasper at lunchtime, meals (including lunch) will be served at your seat. On your journey you will pass areas of wilderness, lakes, rivers and mountains, and you may even catch a glimpse of some fantastic wildlife, including bears, moose, elk, deer, wolves, coyotes, eagles and hawks. You will disembark at Prince George for an overnight stay.
DAY 7
Continue your fantastic rail journey from Prince George to the coastal town of Prince Rupert, arriving in the evening. You will stay in Prince Rupert overnight.
DAY 8
Board a BC Ferry early this morning for your cruise along the spectacular inside passage to Port Hardy on Vancouver Island. Overnight accommodation has been arranged in Port Hardy.
DAY 9
Travel southwards to the city of Campbell River. En route, you may like to do optional whale watching at Telegraph Cove. You will stay in Campbell River overnight.
DAY 10
Depart Campbell River for the city of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, stopping on the way in Duncan, known as the ‘City of Totems’ due to the number of totem poles on display. You will also stop at Chemainus, famous for its outdoor murals depicting the history of the town. A two night stay has been arranged in Victoria. Victoria, situated on Vancouver Island, resembles an old English town with narrow streets and grand 19th century buildings.
DAY 11
A morning sightseeing tour of Victoria has been included. You will see the Parliament Building and the fabled Empress Hotel overlooking the picturesque inland harbour, before travelling to the famous Butchart Gardens for a tour.
DAY 12
Today you take the ferry from Victoria to the city of Vancouver, where you stay for two nights.
DAY 13
We include a sightseeing tour of Vancouver, visiting Chinatown, Gas Town and Stanley Park with its famous totem poles, and the beautiful harbour.
DAY 14
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
DAY 15
Arrival in the UK.
